Community Apple Day at Denis Healey Centre

  • Denis Healey Centre Foundry Mill Street Leeds, England, LS14 6FJ United Kingdom (map)

Come along to the Denis Healey Centre on Friday 30th October to celebrate the apple harvest season.

The main activity will be apple juice making using a traditional manual scratter and apple press. There will also be the opportunity to taste many different apple varieties.

There will be reusable cups available to use but please bring your own if you can. You are also encouraged to bring an empty bottle to fill with juice to take home, and any homegrown apples or pears you would like to press if you have them.

This event takes place during October half term and is a family friendly event. People of all ages and abilities are welcome. The event is free and there is no need to book, just turn up!

Accessibility: The juicing will take place on the hard standing outdoors and is wheelchair accessible. Please contact gini@fruitworks.org.uk for any questions about accessibility.

This event is organised by Fruit Works Cooperative as part of our Seacroft Fruit Forest project, which is kindly supported by the National Lottery Community Fund.
